Hopefully you will all have an opportunity this summer to travel and explore with family or friends, either in your hometown (having a "staycation") or somewhere else. Before you head out on your adventure I want to share several fun links below that you might find interesting from the comfort of your home...
National Park Service - Help the United States celebrate 100 years of having National Parks thanks to folks like John Muir and Teddy Roosevelt! Check out this site and download a Junior Ranger coloring book, look at the WebRanger videos, and explore the Junior Cave Scientist section. A very special perk for 4th graders listed on this site: If you are a fourth grader, or age equivalent free-choice learner, you and your family can receive an Every Kid in a Park pass that will give you free access to hundreds of parks, lands, and waters for an entire year.
Rio 2016 Summer Olympics - Follow the torch, find out who is representing the USA in a particular sport or check out the schedule so that you don't miss your favorite sporting event...
And in case you are feeling studious (like studying something!) - check out these new links that I am adding to my Draggo page -
